Jayé Keyz | The Keytarist
His name “Jayé” means “enjoy life.
Nigerian-born, he is known for his energy and unique performances.
Jayé Keyz started his professional career in music, as a session keyboardist, playing with various bands, and artistes across his home country.
He decided to go solo after recording his first single “Miliki” which enjoyed airplay and even became the theme song for a morning show on Classic FM, Lagos, Nigeria.
While thinking of the best way to perform his music without being stuck behind his keyboard, he stumbled on a “Keytar” in Snoop Dogg’s video for the hit single “Sensual Seduction”. It was at that “aha” moment, he decided to embark on a career as a solo Keytarist. He’s never looked back since then.
With his spectacular Keytar, Jayé performs covers of a vast repertoire of hit songs, as well as his original music.
Jayé Keyz has worked with global brands like Google, Nokia, British Council, Youtube, Jaguar, Harley-Davidson, and the United Nations.
He is currently a Roland SA endorsee, an ambassador for David Green Eyewear, and is sponsored by Puma SA.
His latest video, “Dancing” was shot in collaboration with Jaguar Capetown, and Student at Home.
He is raising the profile of instrumentalists globally.
